Warren E. Hearnes Learning Resource Center -- photography by Hollie MillerLocated directly to the right of the main entrance, the Warren E. Hearnes Learning Resource Center (LRC) is a mecca of technology and learning. Housing the campus’s educational library, with its numerous books, videos and periodicals, makes it a popular place for students to spend time studying and learning. Downstairs, you can find the Instructional Media Center, the home of Missouri Western’s broadcast medium, Western Weekly. Within its doors is a wealth of information regarding instructional media, design and technology.

The building’s namesake, Warren E. Hearnes, became Missouri’s governor in 1964 and played a major role in securing Missouri Western as a 4-year college for St. Joseph.

Not only does the building house the library and Instructional Media Center, but the Computer Center and the Center for Academic Support are also located in the Warren E. Hearnes Learning Resource Center.
